Guitar lessons

My Pictures0011.jpg (248206 bytes)

The guitar lessons are for beginners and advanced students alike.  The lessons are held at my home in Surrey (one hour by train from Waterloo Station London) a relaxed, yet focused, atmosphere.  As a student you may be invited to perform at the famous Menuhin Music School in Surrey, UK, through the "Platform Series" arranged by the ISM.

The tuition covers the following:

· Classical, acoustic and electric guitar

· One to one tuition

· The Alexander technique applied to the instrument/musician

· Improvisation

· Music theory

· How to Conquer Anxiety in Performance

· Advice on buying an instrument

· Breathing technique

· The principles of conscious guidance

· Shadow practicing

· Reading music on the guitar

My aim as a teacher is to give you the technical and musical tools to express your self as freely as possible. Whether you want to become a professional musician, or you want to have your music as your hobby, you are welcome to join my guitar class. Just to copy another player defies the whole idea of learning to play an instrument.  I invite you to make your own decisions, and will teach you how to think, not what to think!  So, for you who really are interested in the guitar and want to make the commitment to your instrument and music, I will do my best to help you to realise your full potential as a musician and human being!
